You can even grip onto smaller enemies and use them as weapons too. Gripping onto an object allows you to either rip it out of the ground or pick it up and use it as a projectile. You’ll have access to equippable items and you’ll constantly gain experience points that you can use to upgrade your craft. The player can select which prize they want to retrieve by moving the arm to the desired location. Gameplay in Gripper involves – unsurprisingly – gripping onto enemies and objects while dodging projectiles and environmental hazards. But if None can push the Gripper to the brink, both his world and family may be restored. Reality itself appears to have been fractured. But there may yet be hope thanks to Cat-Kit, None’s childhood toy, now made living. The initial encounter with Zero does not go as planned and None is left to expire. In a chance encounter with an AI known as Zero, the biker is informed his family has been scattered to the winds. A gargantuan cataclysm has struck None’s world. And many things have happened in his absence. It’s been five years since the young man has visited his family. From Heart Core, comes a roguelite where the motorcycle itself is the main character. With the right aim and precision, no enemy will stand in the way of None and reuniting with his family. Use the environment and its debris to None’s advantage. Employ the use of a special grappling hook to aid in your fight. In Gripper, there is still a chance to defeat the artificial monster. There are many stories of taking on a malevolent cyber intelligence. The prizes are typically displayed in a glass case or enclosure, making them visible and accessible to the player. The demo – which starts you off with a short cutscene and then a chase sequence – is a great introduction as players have to dodge holes, avoid pillars, and race through closing doors while avoiding an enemy in pursuit. We spent some hands-on time with Gripper thanks to a new Steam demo and had a blast. Gripper, from developer Heart Core, looks to be a fantastic futuristic game with a focus on reflexes and fast-paced vehicular combat. Build the bike you want, from energy boosters to spawnable drones, mines and gadgets.
